(Doc. Ing. Miloslav Okrouhlík, CSc.)
Czech Technical University in Prague – Faculty of Mechanical Engineering (CZ)
(Prof. Ing. Vladimír Stejskal, CSc.)
Objectives:
(a) The project is one particular realisation of the process of innovation in vocational training of mechanical and civil engineering university students. Innovation is based on making full use of up-to-date computers and software power and by innovation of training methodology.
(b) European dimension in vocational training will be achieved by transnational cooperation, experience and problems exchange among the project partners.
(c) Practicing engineers will be encouraged to rise their skills and to adapt themselves to meet the needs of up-to-date demands of their employers. The electronic book will help them to higher their qualification without leaving the job for some time.
(d) Young engineering students will be given a new tool for selftraining, leading to a better vocational qualification. They will be better prepared for starting their practical professional life.
(e) The electronic textbook will make it possible to achieve an up-to-date qualification for adults without adequate training. Again it can be achieved whenever throughout their working life without leaving the job for some time.
(f) Better preparation of students for the practical professional life will improve the esteem for academic diploma.
(g) The electronic textbook will be an example of a tool for life long high-quality distance selftraining.
